5th Transfer!
Hey everybody!
Okay, highlights from this week..... Got my new companion, he is awesome, we have a lot in common and we get along great, he is from a town about 30 minutes away from Moses lake, WA! This week we also set 2 baptismal dates for the endish of April. The work is going really good right now, and I am super happy to get the chance to serve here. This morning we went with a member here, Salvatore, the some catacombs here, they were crazy!! Starting to get pretty warm here, and so it is making me super ready for General Conference in more than one way! haha (we get to take our jackets off after conference). This is also my first companion that is taller than me, he is 6'4", needless to say we get alot of people staring! It was crazy, I was talking to a member, and he said when he was baptized 32 years ago, there were 16 Anziani and 8 Sorelle here in Palermo, and they all had a ton of work, now there are 4 of us and the story is slightly different. haha But I am super happy with how everything is going. Strange I will hit my 9 month mark in a couple days! Hope all is well at home and know I love y'all and have a good week!

One transfer in Palermo!
Hello!
Well I have now been in Palermo for a whole transfer! It really is strange. My companion is finishing the mission so that means I am getting my new companion tom. I am sad to see my Italian companion go but so grateful for the opportunity I had to be with him because I learned SO much! My mannerisms are starting to become Italian! wahoo!!! People here love Americans (for the most part) and they love Americans who speak Italian and act like Italians more! So what better way to learn than to live with 3!
Work right now is going very very well. After our baptisms we were at a point where we needed to find more people to teach, and on Sunday, one of our investigators brought her mother to church and she is awesome! And she want to start to meet with us to learn more! There are miracles everywhere out here, and in all our lives if we are looking for them. We have a saying in our mission "expect a miracle" and if you do your part and have faith, they will come!
Dont ever really know what to write in these letters, because ours days are usually very alike! So I try to think of things out of the ordinary to write but its hard. I did see a couple more demonstrations this week, I guess as it gets hotter the people get more angry! haha I am glad to be here in Sicilia where it is warm, becuase up north it is snowing. I dont know if I have talked about all the members in both the wards here have been growing out thier beards and thier hair because starting in April the church is filming a movie here and they needed people for back up roles or somthing, so all the male members of the church here have long hair and beards, its awesome! Makes me wish I could grow my hair and my beard out!
Oh it was fun on Sunday we got to church and there was an American family waiting there and needed help finding the other church, so we rode over with them and it was the first time I got to have a conversation in english for 6 weeks, felt good! haha That may have been the only thing out of the ordinary that happened this week. I hope everyone is well and enjoying spring, they say here spring lasts about 4 days, then it is super hot, guess Ive got about a day left!
Love,
Anziano Bird
